My name is Diana Pictou. I am 53 years old with four beautiful children and I have lived in Millbrook First Nation my whole life. My mom and dad taught me how to make baskets when I was 15 years old. At the age of 19, I attended a leather making course taught by Genevieve Julian, where I learned to make moccasins and clothing out of leather. Then, at the age of 40, I taught myself to make earrings and other hand-made crafts. It’s been quite the experience and wouldn’t change a thing. I love it!
